I'll be cycling for two whole days through the scenic landscapes of The Capital Region with thousands of other Riders. All the proceeds will go to Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center, Sibley Memorial and Suburban Hospitals to support cancer research, treatment, and services. These are leading comprehensive institutions devoted to cancer research and care, and the work they're doing is cutting-edge.
I've agreed to raise at least $2,500. So here's where you come in, because I need your help to do that. Could you please consider making a donation of $100? Use this link to go visit my webpage Please take the time to support me. Please keep in mind the commitment I'm making to end this heartbreaking disease and the personal efforts I'll have to make to accomplish this. When I say "heartbreaking," here's what I mean: according to the American Cancer Society, 1,660,290 new cancer cases are expected to be diagnosed in 2013. The information also shows that cancer is the second most common cause of death in the US, exceeded only by heart disease, accounting for nearly 1 of every 4 deaths. That's why I'm riding. To do something BIG about cancer. I hope that you'll share this incredible adventure with me by supporting me in my fundraising efforts. Thank you in advance for your generosity! Sincerely Virginia L. Brown More than 8800 women have been touched by It's In the Genes.

Maimah is committed to educating young women around the world about breast cancer; and empowering them to be their own best advocates. She is dedicated to changing the young adult breast cancer landscape and seeks to impact the quality of care and lifestyle for young women affected by this disease.
